Shaw End is an excellent venue for corporate events and family occasions such as reunions, special Birthdays, and Anniversaries. The house can sleep up to eighteen guests.

The ground floor of Shaw End can be arranged to seat guests to dinner or a buffet & the large hall is a useful area for entertainment or for dancing.

MARQUEES
The gardens to the side of Shaw End are large enough to accommodate a marquee & extra toilet facilities.

Extra parking can be arranged in the field at the front of the house.

Guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery either from the comfort of the house & gardens or with a stroll down the field to the river & woods. The level banks of the river in front of the house make it a perfect spot for a grand family picnic or barbeque.

Wilf from Staveley, near Kendal has catered for many of our guests, & has produced many delicious meals for large groups at Shaw End & Field End. The café at Staveley is an excellent spot for lunch or a relaxed coffee before setting off for the nearby fells.

ACTIVITIES
Group activity days & challenge events, either family or corporate events, can be arranged at one of our family’s farms, Holmescales, where you can “Cram your days with outdoor action.” Holmescales Activity Centre offers Paintball; Archery; Quad Biking, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Horse Riding, 4 x 4 Driver Challenges, Argocat Driver Challenge, Zip Wire, Plus over 60 team building and development training projects.

Situated on our doorstep is Hipshow Farm Riding Stables where rides can be booked from one hour to a full day on the fells. All ages and abilities can be catered for and rides are done in a friendly and laid-back atmosphere.
